Praying In The Spirit

As we go deeper into prayer, it is important that the disciples of Jesus Christ polish themselves in certain must-have disciplines, of which praying in the spirit is one of them. This includes the praying in tongues which consists of  a wide variety of earthly and heavenly languages, and even some unknown ones. This lesson looks at how to recognize and the benefits of praying in the Spirit. Praying in the spirit stirs up the spiritual part of the man and exercises and empowers it through the interaction with the Holy Spirit. We do hope that you are edified through this message. Who is The True God

The word ‘god’ carries the meaning all sufficient one or self-sufficient being. A god does not need food, water, land, air, clothing, song, dance, ceremony or blood – that being exists in a want-less state, they don’t need anything to exist or be, they simply are what they choose to be.  The title of the Most High God belongs to the most powerful being and the one that has no equal. The Bible attributes this and many other names to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob also known as Jehovah, Elohim, Yahweh and the Heavenly Father. The same Elohim is known to be a spirit being and has interacted with mankind through the ages.

What Is Warfare

Today, we are defining and discussing warfare as it applies in every day life and zoning in on spiritual warfare as it relates to the disciple. The Academy of Jesus Christ as an institution exists to equip disciples as spiritual warriors. Everyone needs to know and understand the fundamentals of warfare so that they will be able to stand in the evil day (Eph. 6:11) – right now, we are in the evil day. It is our prayer that you take hold of the provision and power that Jesus has made available to us Do enjoy and be blessed.

Sharpen Your Gift – Discipleship Training

Every disciple needs to constantly strive to be better and become wise and proficient in the things that God has called them to do. The scripture teaches us that “iron sharpens iron…” Prov. 27:17, therefore in order to stay sharp (and get sharper) we need to rub shoulders with those who are like-minded and focused on the target.

What Is Prayer

One of the most important tools and weapon that the disciple can be equipped with is prayer. The skill of praying is essential to the life of every person, and key in the waging of spiritual warfare, spiritual development, personal growth and daily sustenance.  The Bible encourages us to pray always (Eph. 6:18) and without ceasing (1 Thes. 5.17) so that we will be effective in our walk with the Lord. This video lesson outlines what is prayer, and also what it isn’t; it also looks at the reasons for pray and some of the types of prayers that we use. Be edified .

The understanding of oneself is a treasure of a lifetime, mankind as a race was conceived and exists with great purpose and intent. The Battle

This video introduces the spiritual conflict that wages day in and day out in the lives of all who inhabit heaven and earth. It is imperative that the disciple learns about those things that affect him, and become knowledgeable in the things of the spirit, so that you can walk according to your conviction. The battle between the kingdoms involves everyone, we must understand what is the objective, know the enemies we are dealing with and be in tune with God’s strategy for his people. A Post Mortem On The Post Truth Culture

Dr. Ravi Zacharias and Abdu Murray give an exceptional discourse on the trend of post truth culture that is pervading the world today. They define and examine the post truth rise in modern times, and give a synopsis  of its salient principles. They then compare it to God’s standard and traditional values of truth, outlining the eventual effects of each doctrine.

This teaching  provides many answers to the disciple for when he/she encounters tough questions about why a person should seek solid truth rather than personal and relative beliefs. The precept of truth is an anchor for all men, both speakers highlight the shortcomings of relative truth as in contrast to what God teaches us. Do enjoy.

Repentance

In the life of the believer, repentance is a key component that unlocks treasures of righteousness in our life. The pull of worldly things beckon us on a daily basis, however, in order to fight them off, we must turn away from them. Resisting the god of this world will cause him to flee from us, however, there is another enemy within ourselves that we must also resist. As we learn about repentance, I hope that you are equipped to continually say ‘no’ to evil and ‘yes’ to God.
